Size 8 width AA is a perfect fit. Go figure. The lightening silver shoe color is not quite as garish as it looks in the picture, but I could have done without the hot pink decorations. If you have a wide foot; high arch, and need cloud-like cushioning in the forefoot, the Asics Gel-Nimbus 15 are a dream sequence! The only negative: I hate all 3 color choices Only good if you're running at night!
Anonymous, Zappos Customer , July 21, These 15's, however, are amazing! Back to everything you love about the Nimbus. A good, well-cushioned running shoe. Diana B, Zappos Customer , July 7, I have been wearing Asics for years and this is the best model they've come out with in a while. I am 30 years old and have a degenerative hip and osteoarthritis and wearing this shoe means the difference between walking and not walking.
They are a bit wider than the Nimbus 13 or 14 but I like the extra space in the toe box. Awesome shoe. I think I'm going to order another pair of these just because I like this model so much more. Also, please mark styles as neutral when it applies. For those of us who wear orthotics, we need a neutral shoe. Should not have to guess. Anonymous, Zappos Customer , November 21, Best money I've spent lately!
First, some background, I have rheumatoid arthritis plus have had knee surgery. I was using regular walking shoes from Reebok on a treadmill -- big mistake. I could feel every single vibration through my knees, hips, back and I finally blew the knee out again. While recuperating, I began researching shoes to find a pair that would help protect my joints better and absorb some of the shock from the treadmill -- these made so many Top 10 lists and now that I have them, I know why.
They are well-named-it does feel like you're walking on floaty clouds. And I feel zero vibrations from the treadmill now -- so much better on my joints. I am able to go further, longer with these things. I just wish I had done the research and brought these shoes four months ago when I began daily workouts. They are worth every penny, but thanks Zappos for having them on sale! Also, the fit was true-to-size for me. This shoe was pricey, but it was well worth the extra money.
I am a coach and have severe plantar fasciitis. I have had them for several months, and I'm thinking about purchasing a second pair. The shoe is true to size and width. Mine are only a few months old, but them seem to be holding up well -- but I mostly exercise inside so I'm not sure how they would hold up if I was running outside. Terrianne, Zappos Customer , February 26, These are amazing running shoes!
I am new to running and these were my first athletic pair of tennis shoes. I read several reviews and watched several videos when deciding what pair to invest in and these ranked highest on my list.
I have no regrets since ordering them. I have worn them almost daily for over a month and they still feel like I'm walking on air. I run at least 2 miles a day and these shoes ensure that I am able to still walk when I get home. My foot feels fully supported from heel to toe. I would recommend ordering a half or full size up with this shoe.
Also, the colors are really cute! Overall this is just an awesome shoe. Anonymous, Zappos Customer , September 10, I have tried and returned so many shoes including brands like Brooks and Nike. Nothing compared to these shoes. They are worth every penny for comfort. You won't be disappointed.
Jessica, Zappos Customer , July 23, First experience with Asics gel. Love these shoes. I was having heel pain with another Asics pair and bought these weeks ago and I longer have heel pain. Maria K, Zappos Customer , May 14, Thank you Ladies for writing your reviews. I usually wear a size 6w , but because of the reviews I ordered a 6.
I have wide small feet High arches Narrow heels These fit. Do you like the softer plush sort of max cushion vibe of the Nimbus?
Or, do you like the more standard firmer and a little more responsive kind of ride of the Cumulus? I like a more max cushion plush feel underfoot. But for me, I would go with the Nimbus Lite over and over again.
The major selling point for me is the midsole. Again, do you like a softer ride Nimbus or do you like a more responsive firm ride Cumulus? So there you have it. This kind of concludes Asics Nimbus vs Cumulus comparison. I hope I was able to make the picture as clear in your mind as possible.
So, are you team Nimbus Lite or team Cumulus 22? Both are really solid shoes from a great brand, Asics. This site uses Akismet to reduce spam. Learn how your comment data is processed. Heel-to-toe Drop. Stack Height. Round laces criss cross through six eyelets, and ASICS punched an empty seventh into the top of the Nimbus Lite to give you more options for lacing your running shoes.
None of our testers needed to lace the shoe differently, but it makes the shoe accessible to more runners. The FlyteFoam midsole also packs material that otherwise could have ended up in a landfill. The Nimbus Lite goes for subdued style. ASICS packed a generous amount of foam into each pair. A full-contact outsole gives the shoe a smooth heel-to-toe transition. Grippy, durable rubber improves traction and increases the lifespan of the shoe. Designers broke up the outsole into wavy strips that run horizontally across the bottom of the shoe, which means you can see shallow channels of foam between each strip of rubber.
That design lets the shoe flex easier than if it were one continuous sheet of rubber, so it feels like it rolls naturally through your entire stride.
ASICS used plastic bottlers to create recycled polyester for the upper, and engineers took cellulose nanofiber from sugarcane processing to build a new, more sustainable FlyteFoam midsole.
